PHYSICAL EXERCISES BEFORE OR AFTER BREAKFAST – WHAT IS BETTER?

The results of a study published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism give an unequivocal answer to this question.

The study involved overweight / obese men (mean ± standard deviation, BMI: 30.2 ± 3.5 kgm -2 and 30.9 ± 4.5 kgm -2). The study groups were divided into two workouts, performed before and after carbohydrate intake.

The results showed that participants who exercised on an empty stomach burned twice as much fat as those who did it after breakfast.

Exercising on an empty stomach allows you to burn fat much more efficiently, have a beneficial effect on utilization and reduce insulinemia.
